This was the first season that this male was sexually mature and he was extremely aggressive. The female now bares scarring on her shoulders from their couplings At times she would resort to burying herself deeply into the leaf litter to get away from his attentions but it was easy for me to find her as all I had to do was watch the male returning to the same spot and walking in circles. approx' 4 metres x 7 metres...as of Dec '05 housing six Blotched. 4 Adults and 2 nine months old from last years brood.
